Join us for another exciting new glamourous daytime event as Drag Queens read from their favourite picture books to kids!

This is our second show and the first of its kind in the Lower Mainland! This is the ORIGINAL Lower Mainland show.

Featuring the wonderful Oliv x, Gluttony, Rogue Queen, Amy Grindhouse and friends. All to support gender diversity and literacy in a fun inclusive environment.

Evocative, sassy readings and a fun Q + A, families will not want to miss out.

Based on NYC’s Famous Drag Queen Story Hour at the Brooklyn Public Library and San Francisco libraries but with a NorthWest Coast flavour!

Thanks very much to the Canadian Memorial Church & Centre for Peace for offering their venue to host this event. The Centre has a capacity to hold up to 350 people.

ACCESSIBILITY AND TRANSIT INFO

The Canadian Memorial United Church Sanctuary Space is located at the corner of Burrard Street and West 15th Avenue.

ACCESSIBILITY – The Sanctuary Space is wheelchair accessible and has two washrooms, one of which is 90% fully accessible for most. There is also a washroom that have been rated as 100% accessible right next door to the Sanctuary Space and is only a few metres away. To enter the Sanctuary space by wheelchair take the entrance to the far right of the building.

BIKES – There is one bike rack directly behind the Sanctuary Space and a few others at the Centre for Peace Building right next door. Plenty of space for your bikes!

TRANSIT – The #33 UBC Bus stops directly in front of the Centre for Peace on West 16th Avenue. From there the Sanctuary Space is about a one minute walk away on Burrard Street. The #99 B-Line Bus also stops about 6 blocks away as does the #10 Granville Street Bus.

PARKING – There are approximately 30 free parking spots in the parking lot in behind the Centre of Peace and additionally there is plenty of street parking in the neighbourhood with most spots allowing for 2 hours of free parking.
